Sparks!
Tuesdays, February 9 and 23; 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside of us there’ s something valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our touch, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk cu- riosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experi- ence that reveals the human spirit.”—`e.e. cummings
Can your teenager answer this question: What do I bring to the world that is good, beautiful, and useful? Come to a two-session book discussion for parents of teenagers and others interested in supporting youth, based on this recently published book. Learn about a key way to help your teen succeed: discover and nurture their SPARKS.

The Art of UU Parenting
Tuesdays, March 9, 16, 23 and April 13, 20, 27; 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Through our principles, our Unitarian Universalist faith provides a framework for living as we teach and model for our children. Our faith can make a differ- ence in how we parent so our children learn the im- portance of spiritual journey and connection with a faith community from the adults that are close to them. Drawing from a variety of sources, we will explore what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist and a parent.

Please sign up on the Adult Religious Education bulletin board, or contact Lynn Garman, DRE, for more information. Childcare will be provided upon advance request.
